If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, exhausted, navigating a major life change, or searching for deeper meaning in your life, you don’t have to do it alone.
For more than 20 years, I have helped thousands of people find clarity, healing, resilience, and a renewed sense of direction. I offer a gentle, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can pause, reflect, reconnect with yourself, and explore the challenges you are facing with support and understanding.
Many of the people I work with are navigating stress, relationship difficulties, family challenges, health concerns, life transitions, burnout, grief, depression, spiritual crises, chronic illness recovery, sleep difficulties, or what is often described as a “dark night of the soul”. Together, we create a safe space to make sense of what is happening, uncover deeper patterns, and discover new possibilities for growth and healing.
I am Amanda Gifford, a HPCSA-registered Drama Therapist (AT 0000027), Family Constellations Facilitator and Trainer, and Counselling Psychology professional with a Master’s Degree in Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, USA. As one of the pioneers of Drama Therapy in South Africa, I was among the first South Africans to train internationally in this field and bring this powerful therapeutic approach back home.
Alongside my Master’s training, I have devoted over eight years to the study and practice of Family Constellations, integrating systemic, creative, and transpersonal approaches to support lasting change and deeper self-understanding.
My private practice is based in Johannesburg, and I offer both in-person and online sessions.
Whether you are facing a specific challenge, standing at a crossroads, or simply longing to feel more connected to yourself and your life, I would be honoured to walk alongside you on your journey.
My approach blends a warm and friendly client centred approach to therapy.
My training draws on a wide range of creative and embodied methods, including play therapy, drama therapy, process theatre, narrative therapy, parts therapy, and family constellations.
